Paying staff and the 1601-C

3 quick questions. Pick an answer to see why.

1. An employee earns ₱18,000 a month. Her SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG shares total ₱1,550 and no tax is withheld. What is her net pay?

Gross pay minus the employee shares minus withholding tax: ₱18,000 − ₱1,550 − ₱0 = ₱16,450.

2. Nobody on your payroll earns more than ₱250,000 a year, so nothing was withheld in October. What happens with October's 1601-C?

The 1601-C is monthly. A zero month is reported: item 3, "Any taxes withheld?", is marked No and item 25 is ₱0.

3. When is the 1601-C for October due for a business that doesn't use eFPS?

The 10th of the following month. Only December's return is different: it's due 15 January.
